NEW TO CERAMIC COATING?
HERE IS WHAT TO LOOK FOR
- When choosing a company to do your ceramic coating, please be sure they are using a reputable ceramic coating manufacturer that is located in the USA. There are many knock offs with cheap product inside the bottle.
- Be sure you are getting a 9H ceramic coating product.
- Ceramic coating does not come in a plastic or spray bottle because of the elements in the formula – it comes in a small glass or tin bottle.
- Do not go to any car wash that advertises ceramic coating that can be completed in less than 45 minutes. They are using a very cheap spray-on…you will be wasting your time and money.
- Anyone that is not a professional will not prep the paint correctly and the ceramic coating will not last long.
- Be sure to get a warranty in writing…most good warranties range from 3-7 years to be sure they stand behind their work.
- Be sure to get a printed sheet of instructions on how to take care of your new ceramic investment.
- Many companies or installers of ceramic coating will tell you that the coating is bullet-proof against rock chips and heavy scratches…this is a lie!
- Last, and most important: I have learned over the last 7 years that applying ceramic coating is not easy. The prepping process is the most important, and takes years of experience. The ceramic paint coating product is costly and if put on improperly, can cause high spots and other imperfections that will need to be machine-buffed off. The professional installers of ceramic coating do this for a living and have many years of experience.
